This Privacy Policy explains how Luphix Designs collects, uses, and protects personal information submitted through luphixdesigns.com, whether you are located in Uganda or elsewhere.
Our primary legal basis:
Luphix Designs is based in Uganda, and this policy is built around Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, enforced by the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) under the National Information Technology Authority - Uganda (NITA-U), which requires opt-in consent before personal data is collected or processed.
Our service region:
Luphix Designs serves clients across Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania. This policy is built around Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, since Luphix Designs is based in Uganda, and is designed to be consistent with the equivalent frameworks in the other countries we serve: Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 (regulated by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner), Rwanda's Law on the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy, and Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. All four are built on similar principles: consent before collection, data minimization, and the right to access, correct, or delete your information.
Cross-border data transfer:
If you are located in Kenya, Rwanda, or Tanzania, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in Uganda, where Luphix Designs is based. We apply the same core principles to every client regardless of which of the four countries you're in: your data is collected only with consent, used only for the stated purpose, and protected with reasonable security measures.
What we collect:
When you submit a project brief or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, company name, email, phone number, country and location, and project details. If you pay a deposit online, payment is processed directly by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, or our card payment provider (Pesapal) - we do not store your card or mobile money details ourselves.
Why we collect it:
To prepare your project assessment, respond to your inquiry, process a booking or deposit, and - where you've agreed - send occasional project-relevant updates. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Consent:
By submitting the project brief form, you consent to Luphix Designs collecting and processing your information for the purposes described above.
Sharing your information:
We may share relevant project details with independent consultants (such as quantity surveyors or electrical engineers) where their input is needed, and with your own consultants where you have asked us to coordinate with them.
How long we keep it:
We retain project information for as long as needed to deliver the engagement and meet reasonable business record-keeping needs, then delete or anonymize it.
Your rights:
You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion, regardless of your location. To exercise these rights, contact us at luphixdesigns@gmail.com.
