Our journey starts with how a space needs to work.
Hello - I am Phillip, the designer behind Luphix Designs. Luphix is a commercial interior design consultancy based in Kampala, focused on helping businesses and property developers turn spaces into environments that work visually and practically for the people who use them. Since 2011, I have been designing spaces with a simple belief: a good interior should not only look right - it should also work for the people and business using it. Today, Luphix focuses on commercial interior design, from developing the concept and visual direction to helping ensure the finished space reflects the approved design.
How I Think About Space
I believe good design starts with understanding the space. Before thinking about finishes or decoration, I look at the people, the movement, the purpose and the experience the space needs to create. A restaurant needs to support service and atmosphere. A office or workplace needs to balance productivity and experience. A hotel needs to make guests feel something. A development needs interiors that make sense for the people who will occupy them. The design comes from understanding those needs first.
From Design to Reality
A beautiful render is only the beginning. Materials change. Measurements shift. Contractors interpret details differently. Things happen on site. That's why Luphix places equal importance on clarity of design and quality of execution. Through detailed 3D visualization, material direction and, where required, installation supervision, we help keep the original design intent clear as the project moves from concept to reality. That is the gap Luphix exists to close.

I remain personally involved in the design process, from understanding the brief through design development and, where engaged, site supervision. For specialist requirements, I coordinate with trusted consultants or the client's appointed professionals. The design direction and client relationship remain directly managed by Luphix.

Spatial planning, 3D visualization, material and finish direction, and the design information needed to communicate the intended space clearly.

Scheduled site inspections, design checks and direct clarification with contractors to help ensure the approved concept is carried through during fit-out.
